Luxury Hemp
KENxKEIM tees are made with hemp and organic cotton. You may be asking, “Why Hemp?’’ Creator, Katie Keim, wanted to produce a tee that was both luxurious and mindful after searching her entire career for the perfect luxury t-shirt for her clients. Katie focused on hemp because of the many restorative qualities and practical properties that hemp possesses. Combining her grandfather’s sustainable farming mindset and the perfect silhouette, the OG KEN Tee was born.
As a plant, hemp absorbs carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Therefore, hemp helps combat the large carbon footprint that the fast fashion industry has contributed to.
Reduces Carbon
Hemp uses a small fraction of the water that other plants need in order to be grown and processed.
Uses Less Water
Hemp can be grown in almost any type of soil without stripping that soil of its nutrients. Unlike standard cotton, which requires considerable water, chemical fertilizers, and insecticides, hemp can actually help restore nutrients that the soil loses during previous harvests.
Restores Soil Nutrients
Hemp is a strong, heavy fiber that will make you feel like you are swaddled and supported. It is incredibly comforting to wear and it only gets better with each wear or wash.
Comforts
Help protect your skin with hemp. Hemp naturally filters UV light, shielding the skin from sun damage.
UV Ray Resistant
Hemp is biodegradable, meaning it can decompose naturally without harming its surrounding environment.
Biodegradable
Antimicrobial
Hemp resists bacterial growth and is incredibly breathable, preventing odors. Thus, it stops unwanted sweat stains and can help you push off your next laundry day.
Hemp is a greatly durable fabric. Due to its antimicrobial properties, it can be washed less, preventing short-term wear on the fabric.
